Mission
Improve the respiratory health of individuals and communities through research, training and human resources specialist medical care
 

Vision
The INER should be the national policy on respiratory health and the main site for teaching, research, promotion and high specialty care, with national and international competitiveness.

Objectives
1 .- Develop and promote basic and applied research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of respiratory diseases.
2 .- Provide postgraduate education to medical professionals and contribute to the training of nurses, technicians and assistants in the field of respiratory diseases.
3 .- Provide outpatient and hospital care to patients who warrant specialized treatment in terms of respiratory diseases.
4 .- To advise medical units and educational institutions for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of respiratory diseases.
5 .- To undertake and promote events and meetings at national and international levels to exchange experiences and disseminate the progress made in its area of action.
